I read in the Tribune that 30 conifers were to be planted in Glinton between the bypass and the end of Helpston Road as a noise barrier. Unfortunately, it is a common misconception that a row of conifers will reduce noise.

A community car club is being considered for the Deepings. This would enable people living in the area to access vehicles for personal use. A bit like a ‘pool car’ scheme. An on-line survey is being undertaken to establish the likely level of support for the scheme.

Dear Editor I would like to highlight to everyone that the 1.98(ha) field between Broadwheel Road and the JC School has been put forward as a possible site for reallocation as land for housing.
