happy-facesDear Editor, I have been driving past the Crown Inn for over 7 years and I have always thought it to be a striking building with lots of potential. Such a shame to see it boarded up.  My husband and I have paid a deposit on the Crown Inn and have submitted a planning application for change of usage from a public house to an under 5’s children’s ‘playing and learning together’ centre. The residential aspect to the first floor and rear will remain, as we plan to transform it into our family home. [click to continue…]

Fed-up residents of Helpston Road in Glinton have called on Peterborough City Council to help tackle the problem of Arthur Mellows pupils cycling on the pavements.
After claims that the school either ignored complaints or replied to say there was nothing they could do about it, local couple Simon and Johanna Potter carried out a survey of people living there. [click to continue…]

Peterborough City Council have received a planning application to demolish the Crown pub on Lincoln Road, Glinton and build six two-and-a-half storey, 4-bedroomed semi-detached houses. The application is also for six two-storey self-contained apartments, two of which would be 3-bedroomed and four which would be 2-bedroomed.
