Northborough artist Delia Moth discovered that she had an ‘artistic bent’ when she was just eight years old. As a distraction from being away from home at boarding school, Delia used to copy illustrations from books, her favourites being ‘flower fairies’ and the pen and ink drawings from the Narnia series of books. “I copied them in the greatest detail, and my father still has them framed on his wall,” explained Delia.

With her father serving in the RAF, Delia travelled extensively as a young child and lived in the Peterborough area between the ages of 12 and 25. After that, she moved to Norfolk where she trained as a registered general nurse and worked in the Accident & Emergency department of King’s Lynn Hospital before going to the Norfolk Institute of Art & Design, where she studied graphic design.
