Local band ‘Men Behaving Sadly’ had the marquee at the Golden Pheasant rocking on Valentine’s night, when over a hundred revellers enjoyed a pleasant mix of sounds, food and quizzes.

The event raised over £1,000 for the Friends of Chernobyl Children (FOCC) Helpston Charity. The band, John Carlin, Simon Richards, Chris Banks, Geoff Fitzjohn, Chris Fitzjohn, Alex Carlin and lead singer Russ Atkinson were joined on stage by ‘rookie’ drummer Chris Rowley – who provided ‘cover’ at the band’s rehearsals while regular drummer Alex was at university. The band also asked the Tribune to extend their grateful thanks to Stan, Peter, Matt and the team at B&H Sound for providing an excellent PA system once again.
