New Housing ‘Threat’?

by Tony Henthorn on February 28, 2009

Dear Editor
I would like to highlight to everyone that the 1.98(ha) field between Broadwheel Road and the JC School has been put forward as a possible site for reallocation as land for housing.  reading-manThis land is currently Greenbelt and outside of the village envelope and could have a massive impact on the size and feel of our village. Given that we already have a build of 43 new houses at the Papermill do we really need another housing development?
Please also consider that this land is directly next to the school and will mean that instead of playing in school grounds that look our across open fields, our children will look out over brick walls and garden fences.
I hope that you will join me in emailing planningpolicy@peterborough.gov.uk (highlighting proposal H141) in objection to the proposed reallocation of this land.
Mike Davey, Helpston
