Citizens Advice Peterborough is recruiting on a rolling basis for volunteers as Information Assistants, Advice Workers, Research & Campaigning Workers and Fundraisers.
These are new exciting roles which reflect the current transformations in the provision of information and advice which are being implemented to ensure that Citizens Advice gives the best possible service to residents and reflects the needs of our clients.
Volunteers are at our heart and we have approximately 40 volunteers but are looking to expand this volunteer base to meet the needs of the community. Volunteers range in age from early 20’s to over 70. All volunteers reflect the local community as volunteers cover a range of ethnic origins, gender, and religions.
Citizens Advice Peterborough is a local charity, ‘your local charity’ - dependent on our highly-skilled workforce of trained volunteers and paid staff.
Our clients and volunteers come from the many different communities in the city and all lifestyles and we are committed to providing a free, confidential and independent advice service, with volunteering opportunities for the whole community.
At Citizens Advice Peterborough volunteers outweigh our paid employees by a ratio of 2:1. Keith Jones, CEO of Citizens Advice Peterborough said, ‘
