Faith's Journey

Faith Mclennan is a determined 5 year old little girl from School Close, Maxey, Peterborough.

She is a happy little girl and a fantastic sister to Tayla (3) but she suffers with daily activities such as dressing, eating and getting around as she is unable to walk. Faith has Cerebral Palsy affecting all four limbs. The stiffness in her legs means she is unable to walk.

Faiths journey has been set up by Faiths mum and dad, Caroline Brewster (26) and Lee Mclennan (29) to raise £40,000 for a life changing operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR), this will also pay for the aftercare, intense physio post op and any physio equipment needed.

The operation involves an incision to the lower back, the nerve fibres running from the muscles back to the spinal cord is then divided to take away the stiffness. SDR has been performed many times and made daily activities for many children, like Faith, less of a challenge.
