Quick heads-up for Tribland folk - LINCOLN ROAD - CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING
It is proposed to undertake carriageway resurfacing works along Lincoln Road, Glinton. As part of these works Peterborough Highways Service will be carrying out minor kerbing works and these are expected to start around Monday 15th August 2016. These kerbing works are programmed to last for one week. Following the kerbing they will be commencing the surfacing works and these are expected to commence on Monday 22nd August 2016, subject to contract, and will last for approximately ten days.
During the kerbing works there will be minimal impact on the residents of Glinton and the buses will still be running through the village. However whilst the resurfacing works are being undertaken the road will be closed. The works will be carried out from Monday to Friday between the hours of 09.30 and 16.30. Access will still be maintained to the residents however there may be delays while the material cools and we may advise the residents to follow the diversion route if it is not safe to access the village from a certain direction (gateman will be on site and will advise). During the working hours there will be no buses running through the village. There will be a temporary bus stop signed near the Clare Lodge entrance and Delaine will be issuing further information.
