New Trumpeter takes post

14 year old Lawrence Hayes, a Year 9 pupil at Stamford School, receives his Royal British Legion tie and badge from Barnack Branch Chairman Charles Clark upon his appointment as Branch Trumpeter at a ceremony held at ‘The White Hart Inn’, Ufford, last week. After the presentation, Lawrence entertained Branch members with a selection of Christmas Carols.
This cements the longstanding association with The Stamford Endowed Schools Combined Cadet Force, which is officially affiliated to the Branch.
Lawrence has played Last Post and Reveille at Barnack’s commemoration of Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day two years running and is now a junior member of the Legion, which also welcomes his parents, who have recently joined.
