News from Bainton & Ashton Parish Council

A vacancy for councillor has arisen following the resignation of Helen Watts.  Our thanks to Helen for her work on the council over the last four years.

The vacancy will be filled by co-option and we invite applications from residents of Bainton and Ashton who are interested in keeping the wheels of the parish turning on behalf of residents. For more information, eligibility criteria and how to apply, please contact the clerk as below.

It is with sadness that we learn of the death of Judith Morrice in early February.  Judith served as a parish councillor for several years to 2011 and she and her husband have many friends in the villages.  Our thoughts are with her husband Malcolm at this time.

Minutes of each meeting and councillor details can be found on village notice boards and will appear soon on the village website  Contact the Clerk by email at The next council meeting will be held in Bainton Reading Room on Tuesday 7th March 2017 at 7.30pm. Residents are encouraged to attend.
