21st November 2024; Castor Lodge Care Home was proud to take part in Cake4Kindness Day, on 21st November. Cake4Kindness is a registered not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) with a vision to alleviate loneliness and social isolation for those experiencing homelessness through the distribution of cakes.
On Cake4Kindness day Country Court chefs baked cupcakes, which were decorated by residents at Castor Lodge Care Home in Peterborough. The finished cakes were then delivered to Peterborough Soup Kitchen.
Senior Customer Relations Manager Hannah Mills commented.
“Our residents at Castor Lodge Care Home thoroughly enjoyed decorating all the cupcakes, knowing that the cakes were being donated to such a good cause made this a more meaningful activity for people to engage with, everyone was keen to get involved and hoped the cakes would brighten someone’s day”.
